NexGen Plant Science Center is comprised of three distinct research units. The Turfgrass Research unit is dedicated to developing grasses with better turf quality, drought tolerance, stress tolerance and pest and disease resistance. Our product Testing group is focused on scientifically trialing and documenting the competitiveness, effectiveness, functionality, and performance of new innovative seed products. The Controls Testing division provides reliable testing of fertilizers, fungicides, insecticides and moss control product to support research development, product comparisons, efficacy, functionality, performance and product claims. The main campus in Albany, Oregon is the hub for diverse turf and products research. NexGen R & D utilizes 160 acres, 6 greenhouses and 2 laboratories for turf and products testing. Additionally, NexGen has partnered with Middle Fork Research, LLC near Fayetteville, Arkansas. This site provides 50 acres of warm season and cool season turf trialing. Product research also trials at this site on 30 dedicated acres. R&D extends beyond the Arkansas and Oregon research sites. Cooperative testing is conducted with leading Universities and private enterprises across the US.
